Most digital cameras today can use NiMH rechargeable batteries. These batteries will last for many years, but will discharge in about two weeks when not in use. These are the same type batteries used in electric and hybrid cars.
These batteries will operate most cameras for about three hours depending the charge and camera use.
The Cannon SD750 (black) seems to be one of the best cameras for the money.

I don’t even know if it’s a scratch. It’s almost like someone poked the LCD screen and now there’s 2 little black lines across the screen. Does anyone know if there’s a way to repair that?

Well, it could be a scratch, or it could be that the LCD is cracked inside. Either way, there’s no real way to “repair” it. It would need to be replaced, but on a camera, there’s probably no place that can repair it (unless it’s a high end fancy camera), and it would probably be cheaper (depending on the camera) to get another camera or just live with it.

Question by Jacie: How do I fix this Samsung L200 camera? The lens is stuck out and it won’t turn on.?
I accidentally dropped my boyfriend’s Samsung L200 camera from about 3 feet off the ground onto a cement floor. Now, when you press the power button, the green light turns on only as long as you hold the power button, but nothing else happens. Also, the lens is stuck out. Any solutions??

The lens might be jammed because a tiny short metal pin is out of its hole and jammed between the sliding plastic lens tubes. So I think the pin’s hole and the tubes are damaged enough and too much.
The camera needs repair. or buy a new one.

There’s no shutter priority mode on that camera, so you’ll have to be in a situation with less light.

you can record movie clips with or without audio. go to the movie menu and turn audio record on. Audio is not compressed and will consume significant memory and reduce the available video record time
